Would you wash with dirt?

Imagine this...

You get up in the morning you step into the shower and there is a continuous spray of dirty water. Your soap is a cake of mud. Your shampoo is grease. Do you think you would leave that experience refreshed? No, of course not.

In today's world there is plenty of offerings like this that can impact your mental and spiritual energy. The constant drone of the TV, commercials on the radio, the news to name a few.

On the other hand...

There are many sources of positive energy that can help wash away the impact of the other stuff and leave you refreshed. A good book, inspiring music, quotes, affirmations, daily readings, poems and many more.

How about you?

What do you do to shower away the mental and spirtual dirt of the day? Drop us a note here in the comments to share your ideas.

Here are a few from my world:

- Music in the morning.
- I listen to serveral podcasts from the CBC in the morning. I especially like the Ideas podcast. (You can search iTunes for CBC can you will see these shows and many more.)
- I listen to books on tape in the car.
- I listen to In Connect interviews by David Allen. I just got a new one today as a matter of fact.
- I listen to nothing in the car. I mindfully try to connect with everthing around me.
