"Oh, the Thinks You Can Think." Dr. Seuss(One of the joys about having kids is you get to revisit classics like this! Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! (Beginner Books(R))
In my post on December 5th, I wrote:
Ritual five (currently under development) - Checklists. I am introducing in a subtle manner some of the powerful principles of GTD. We are currently working on externalizing things we need to remember by writing checklists. Example: What do I need to remember to do at school on Fridays? (Bring in reading log, bring home folder, etc.).
Last night, my daughter and I created a Mindmap with that contains a checklist for each day of the week. Our plan is to add this to our breakfast ritual.
Is there anything you wish...
- your children could remember consistently?
- your spouse could remember consistently?
- your girlfriend/boyfriend could remember consistently?
- you want to remember consistently?
Explore the power of checklists. They are simple yet powerful tools. Here are the names of a couple that I have built:
- Things to remember when traveling
- Things to remember when traveling as a family
- Things to remember for snowboarding
- Things to remember for skiing/snowboarding as a family
- My GTD weekly review checklist
Is there a checklist you could create today that will make your life a little easier in the future?
